About the Bureau

Vision, mission, and core mandates

SRS Roads Bureau: — The regional government is responsible for the development and management of road infrastructure in the Somali Regional. The Bureau's core responsibility is to develop, construct, maintain, and manage the regional road network so that communities, towns, districts, markets, and economic centers are properly connected.

A safe, all-weather road network that connects every zone of the Somali Regional State to markets, public services, and neighbouring trade corridors.

Mission

To plan, build, maintain, and regulate regional roads and bridges to professional standards so people, livestock, and freight can move reliably across the Somali Region.

Design and construct trunk, link, and rural access roads that hold through the dry season and the rains.
